These are the most beneficial PD's we do. I am sorry they will be ending next year! We need to have access to do this kind of PD/discussion/learning in all other subject areas as well!

I learn something new to take back to my classroom each time I attend these PD trainings. I can honestly say that Krista and Tina have helped to provide the resources and technology that I need to change the way I think about and teach math. Thanks for allowing the teachers of Madison County to have these learning experiences.

I love the Make-and-Take parts of the trainings. The manipulatives we make are so great to use as differentiation for our students!

I love this PD. It has been the most beneficial PD I have been to. The manipulatives that we create and take to our classrooms are great. I love it when we take something back I can use the next day.

Throughout the math trainings I have enjoyed discussing ideas with other 1st grade teachers throughout the county. I have also loved the numerous strategies that I have learned to take back to the classroom and use immediately. These are wonderful PDs!!

The Math PD's are very helpful and the information and the "make and take" activities are very useful to our instruction in the classroom. It is very obvious that much time and effort has been put in to our training! Thank you so much!

I have enjoyed being able to talk to colleagues and share what is working in our classrooms. I like having time to make the manipulatives.

I love having the opportunity to make hands on materials that I can use with my students when I return to school. These hands on materials allow me to meet the needs of all of my students. I have also enjoyed talking to teachers from other schools about what is working in their own classrooms.

I have really enjoyed the opportunity to have the resources and time to make manipulatives and games to teach my students with. I have found many of the strategies learned during these sessions have been very benificial to my classroom instruction and my students understanding of the concepts that I am teaching. Thank you for your help and generosity in sharing your knowledge and resources.

The children have learned so much more in math since I have attended these trainings. The activities have all been engaging and a good alternative to the old worksheet and drill. Thank you for all the activities and the technology enhancement!! :)

Think, Pair, Share and Talking Partners are valuable throughout the curriculum. The games help children practice application of Math concepts, gaining a deeper understanding of math content.
I appreciate making games and materials from bulk materials, and being taught how to use them. The dot patterns are wonderful. Penny cup and other games specifically target needed understandings.

The math trainings are incredibly helpful - the opportunity to make/learn about games is great. I use these games all the time and I love that the ideas can be used to make games for other content areas!

I really have used my purple book to impliment games in my classroom. The kids love it and do not even view it as doing math! We will finish a game and they will say "When is math?". I also use the laminated domino set for practice with addition while playing the game dominoe top-it. All of the resources I have been given have been used and loved in my classroom.

I have used several of the math activities that we have been given in the Math trainings with Krista. The Dot card activities, the arrow card activities, the domino and counting of any kind. I love all of the math activities and information given. The students are more excited about math, they are more attentive during our math times. We are able to give them a more concrete foundation for further success! WE LOVE IT!!!!

I have used the number cards to have the kids make a numberline up to whatever number i or they choose. Then to teach odd and even numbers, I have them remove every other number beginning at 2. They then count by twos and I explain that every number left on the table is an even number. They pick a number and cont that many pennies. They then must sahre their pennies. If each child gets the same amount, they can see it is an even number, I then have them get the other cards, the odd numbers, to see that they can not share those numbers evenly. I never thought of using cards before, but it really works! thanks. I also use many the abicuss we made, the dominoes and so on. I love every make and take. They are great. I teach special education and these make and takes are wonderful!

I feel that the math trainings are very beneficial in many aspects. First off the make and take is wonderful, I am able to use those items in my classroom the very next day. Also, being able to discuss with teachers from other schools is valuable.
